Ansley Hildebrand 4.0

Opaque golden color. On the nose, there's a slight spiciness with bitterness and damp earth, almond. Mandarin orange appears later. On the palate, it's smooth, with spiciness, sherry notes contributing to the almond, dryness, and apricot. The finish is short and smooth, reminiscent of rice and plum. Not highly complex but smooth and enjoyable. With water, malt and butter toffee notes become more prominent.

Isiah Kerns 4.3

Well-balanced nose with buttery, nutty sherry notes. Stone fruit, brine, and spice. The long finish has a spice cake character. Fantastic depth in this Japanese whisky.

Lane Wiles 5.0

Delicious stuff, with hints of dates, cherries, fig syrup, flowers, walnuts, smoke, bananas, apricots, and dark chocolate.

Mitchell Scruggs 4.3

Smoky and somewhat sweet. I received the 3 year instead of the 5 year.

Heath Woo 4.0

The aroma is wonderfully filled with butterscotch and sea salt.

Bryan Aldridge 5.0

Wow, the first foreign whiskey I've ever tried.
