Aikan Blend Collection No. 1

This is an interesting whisky. The nose is sweet and carries notes of vanilla. On the palate, there's a clear rum influence, with vanilla, malt, and green apple flavors. The mouthfeel is medium to light. The finish is of medium length, with notes of brown sugar, spice, and grain. It tastes a bit young, but it's intriguing enough to revisit. If you enjoy rum-finished whisky, you should give it a try.

Whiskey aged in rum barrels, in Martinique, consumed in Martinique. Naturally biased. On the beach, the server poured me a large glass... I wasn't expecting this. Chilled with an ice cube... it's quite light, sweet, and not very long on the palate. On the nose, the rum is detectable, very pleasant.
