Agitator Bourbon Finished in Red Wine Barrels

Didn't detect many specific flavors but that only reinforced my opinion that it’s a well-balanced bourbon. A little sweetness alongside the spice. A good choice when you're undecided and just want a pleasant glass to relax with. That said, I went outside into the cool, crisp air and suddenly could smell dark fruit and vanilla emanating from my glass. Agitator is an unexpected contender among bourbons and worth exploring.

A mild sweetness on the nose. For a non-age-stated spirit, it doesn't smell young. An easier-drinking bourbon than one might expect at 43% alcohol. Not a very pronounced oak flavor. But well-balanced. Definitely sweet and not very spicy. A suitable whiskey for newcomers. Even experienced whiskey enthusiasts would find pleasure in this bottle.

There's a pleasant aroma here but it's overpowered by alcohol burn for me. Harsh initial impact, a little sweet, then the wine barrel on a medium tail. Intriguing but too harsh for me to truly appreciate neat. However, the wine cask makes it excellent for a Boulevardier, definitely recommend it for that.

Appealing aroma featuring red wine cask and vanilla bean. The flavor began with a brief warmth that transitioned into a corn/grain character. Mellow oak and traces of red wine appeared later. It's a serviceable everyday pour, though not particularly memorable.

Features a rather pronounced red wine cask finish. It's certainly unexpected. Once you adjust your palate to it, it becomes a very pleasant spirit to sip.
