This limited edition bourbon contains five times the amount of rye found in a typical A. Smith Bowman release. Master Distiller Brian Prewitt, working with a brand recognized for its experimental bottlings, selected this blend to cater to Abraham Bowman whiskey enthusiasts who desired a bourbon with a more pronounced rye character. This release is part of a series of whiskeys named in honor of the commander of the 8th Virginia Regiment during the American Revolutionary War, marking the twelfth bottling in this brand extension.

Acquired this bottle in Orlando, Florida during October 2015. I will try it soon and return with my assessment. I am surprised by the low rating this received. It's among my favorites. Fortunately, I managed to get a second bottle. It is exceptionally smooth with excellent flavor.
