5 Star Bourbon/Battlegrounds Spirits

The flavor profile of this spirit is quite surprising. Given its 80 proof, I wasn't expecting much, but it's impressive. The nose is light and sweet. The palate is exceptionally sweet, with a touch of rye spice on the backend and a subtle watermelon essence throughout. It has a medium finish.

Much of the flavor is hidden by sugar. It has some bright notes of vanilla, corn, and cane sugar, but I wouldn't choose to drink it straight. Very sugary.

Light, smooth, and consistently semi-sweet. Solid flavors for 80 proof, with notes of light caramel and fruitiness.
