Half a thousand, the W Mk, the five hundred, or simply 500 are the numerous tastes I've subjected my poor liver to and documented on this platform over the past few years. I'm quite eager because I learned from a trustworthy source via another well-regarded source that a fantastic prize is coming my way. Perhaps a car, or maybe to spare Mikael the trouble of shipping it to NZ, a trip to Scotland. In any case, while I await in anticipation, here's the drink at hand. It's slightly uncharacteristically not a whisky, but rather an NZ vodka with a touch of nostalgia, considering I used to consume this occasionally when I was younger. One of the genuine pioneer distillers in NZ. It's named 42 below because it's situated 42 degrees latitude south of the equator, crafted with NZ wheat and NZ volcanic water. It's also quite affordable, costing less than $30 USD for a large 1000ml bottle. Unfortunately, it's now owned by Bacardi but is still produced using the same method. It's a pleasing drink. Smooth, with mild viscosity, and enjoyable to drink neat... which I did while waiting for my flight to depart. I'm giving it a 3.5, rounding up for value for money and sentimentality. I'll conclude this review with a poem titled 'A little boy waits........for a car he suspects may not be coming '.

One of the finest vodkas I've experienced, definitely top five. It's smooth, suitable for sipping or mixing, with no harsh aftertaste found in some others.
A very good, smooth, and clean New Zealand vodka.
