About this bottle
The Kiawah Blend is the fourth offering in 2XO's Icon Series. Like the preceding releases, this one was blended by American whiskey blender Dixon Dedman through a double-barrel process. For this bottling, Dedman utilized two distinct bourbon mash bills: one with a high-rye content (35% recipe) and another with a moderate rye content (18% recipe). He then subjected the high-rye recipe to a second barrel aging in new, charred oak barrels (levels #3 and #4 char) for nine months to one year. This release is available nationwide starting in April 2024, with a suggested retail price of $99.99.

Elegant, deep vanilla notes and a wonderful mouthfeel (yes, it is smooth for the 52% ABV) make this my favorite 2XO release yet...
Chocolate and nutmeg on the nose, vanilla initially, followed by clove and oak. Finished with peppery spice
Very smooth. Remarkably easy to drink for a 52% ABV spirit.
The flavor and finish are very pleasing. It's quite smooth.
Smooth ending with a sweet beginning
