1812 Maryland bourbon

There's a lot of heat initially. It mellows out and lingers pleasantly for a moment, but it's still quite simple. I'd prefer to mix it rather than drink it straight, but it's drinkable either way.

Simple and sweet with a noticeable bite. It works better in cocktails than on its own. I likely won't purchase it again for $40, but it was worth the experience to try something from this area.

It has a slow burn that remains on your tongue. Not terrible, but I'm not a big fan.

Not my first choice for drinking straight. Suitable for a mixed drink.

Smoky characteristics. A good option for a local spirit that's not too expensive. Worth sampling.
