Zarcci Limoncello

This was a present from some companions who knew I enjoyed various spirits and thought it would be an intriguing gift. Rather than opting for whiskey, rum, or mezcal, they definitely explored uncharted territory with a craft limoncello to truly surprise me. Who knew craft limoncello even existed? Alas, when life offers you craft limoncello, you might as well embrace it and review it. The aroma is inviting with notes of light yet smooth and refreshing lemon, accompanied by subtle powdered sugar and floral vanilla notes that carry through to the palate. It has a medium and creamy mouthfeel with a perfect balance of invigorating zingy lemon, offset by delicate florals and a powdered sugar sweetness, leading to a brief finish of light sour lemon and a mild vanilla taffy sweetness. This isn't a complex, thought-provoking beverage, but rather a simple pleasure that offers a refreshing and artisanal twist on limoncello, enjoyable neat or with a few ice cubes. Craft limoncello proved to be quite a surprise, as both I and everyone I've shared it with seem to genuinely appreciate it.
