Nose: Smoked herbs, peat smoke, and nuttiness. Palate: Charred notes, sweet smoke, deeply roasted coffee, plum pudding, earthy tones, and chicory. Finish: A lengthy, warming sensation that dries on the palate. Hints of sweet, baked dried fruit and ash. A substantial mouthfeel. This expression aligns perfectly with my preferences. I generally favor peated whiskies with a sherry cask finish, and this is an excellent specimen. Delightful.
