The aroma is intriguing, with notes of almond, apricot, sandalwood, and cinnamon. Before smelling this, I questioned if it was legitimate. The palate is smooth and honeyed. Caramel, peach, almond, vanilla, and oak are present. The cognac finish and the wheat contribute a southern feel. A delicious, long, fruity finish.
This whiskey is a letdown. It drinks like a much younger spirit. The cognac finish slightly mellows the rough edges but introduces some odd flavors. I wouldn't purchase it again, especially considering the price.
