A robust and intricate bourbon, featuring a smoky character interwoven with floral hints. A delicate sweetness emerges, possibly a blend of honey and mild vanilla upfront. Spice persists from start to finish, accompanied by subtle grainy undertones. The warmth envelops your palate and throat, leaving a lasting impression. I'm compelled to sip more deliberately, appreciating the layered flavors. This is certainly a spirit for autumn and winter. The aroma carries smoke, spices, rye, and sweetness.

Thanks, Ryan! Bottle 44. Barrel 5819. Apple, oak, and rye on the nose. The flavor is very oak-forward with black licorice, coconut, and a significant amount of heat. This bottle initially seemed unimpressive, but it really opened up and improved as I continued tasting it.
