It almost smells like a scotch. I suppose that's the floral notes from the honey becoming noticeable. Honestly, it drinks somewhat like a scotch instead of a bourbon, too. Very floral and sweet, but with a darker charcoal note appearing at the finish. Not your typical bourbon, but an interesting one.

About this bottle
Woodford Reserve Honey Barrel Finish is a limited offering within the brand's Distillery Series. Freshly emptied bourbon barrels from Woodford Reserve were provided to a local bee farmer in Woodford County, Kentucky. After aging honey in these barrels, the farmer returned them to the distillery, where they were used to finish fully-matured Woodford Reserve Bourbon. This expression is presented at the brand's standard 90.4 proof in 375ml bottles, available at the Woodford Reserve Distillery gift shop in Versailles, Kentucky, and select Kentucky retailers for a limited time starting September 2022.

The aroma is very floral, with the taste definitely bringing notes of honey, graham crackers, and sweet red licorice. I wish it had a thicker consistency.
Exceptional in every way. The nose is sweet and smooth. The taste is like honey nut cheerios with banana and some malty grain.
Very good. Smooth yet has just enough complexity to be intriguing. One of the better bourbons I've sampled.
Smooth, but not distinctive anymore. Very mild honey.
Incredibly smooth, easy to drink.
