Woodford Reserve Distillery Series Five Wood Bourbon

The aroma is quite sweet and reminiscent of dessert. It carries scents of vanilla extract, milk chocolate, and strawberry shortcake. The taste is intricate yet remarkably even. This whiskey is expertly crafted, possessing an elegant quality and captivating complexity from its maturation in four distinct casks. The dominant flavor perceived is sweet sugar cookies with vanilla icing. Following the initial sweetness, the palate reveals an assortment of fruit jams. The finish is only moderately long, but it introduces subtle baking spices like cinnamon and clove. An exceptionally approachable whiskey.

Very fruity, with notes of dried fruit and cherry at the forefront. Abundant Oloroso sherry flavor with fairly mild oak on the finish. Could be enjoyed for an extended period.

Excellent whiskey! Sweet grain upfront with complex oak in the middle. Finishes with caramel and honey. One of my favorites!

This offers considerable depth. A superb drink, featuring dark fruit and a coffee-like bitterness. Truly excellent.
