Nose: Pepper and honey Palate: Abundant oak and pepper. Creamy and very full-bodied. Finish: A light pepper and oak finish that persists for a while. No harshness, very smooth. Notes: This is certainly my favorite from Woodford and ranks among my top favorites overall. I appreciate the full-bodied flavor. While I usually prefer a bit of bite, which this lacks, I don't feel like anything is missing. This will always be kept on hand.

About this bottle
Introduced in 2019, Woodford Reserve Double Double Oaked is the first Distillery Series release from that year. The initial version of this bottling arrived in 2015 and has since led to subsequent versions. After full maturation, the bourbon undergoes a two-year finishing period in barrels that are heavily toasted and lightly charred, differing from the single finishing year of the standard Double Oaked. Packaged in 375ml containers in late 2018, this spirit is bottled at 90.4 proof and is available only at the Woodford Reserve Distillery.

An inviting aroma, initially lots of caramel with brown sugar and oak. A warm, rounded taste on the palate. Abundant caramel, brown sugar, and a cherry finish. Fruit notes linger on the palate.
Oaky, spicy, rich, and full-bodied, with the ideal level of sweetness. It's a step above the double oaked version and definitely one of my favorites.
Maple syrup and orange. Exceptionally flavorful with absolutely no burn. A fantastic bourbon.
A pleasant wood note with hints of black cherry and a smooth finish.
Excellent Kentucky Bourbon, smooth with a pleasant flavor. My go-to bourbon!
