About this bottle

This marks the fourth annual release in Widow Jane's The Vaults series, showcasing its oldest and most exceptional whiskey. The 2022 bottling is a blend of straight bourbons aged between 14 and 19 years. Each of The Vaults releases is finished using wood from diverse regions, with varying air-seasoning durations. This iteration utilizes Missouri Ozark oak casks that have undergone three years of air-seasoning for the final maturation. The whiskey is proofed to 49.5% ABV with pure limestone water from the Rosendale Mines, located 100 miles north of the Red Hook, Brooklyn distillery. Production was limited to 2,000 cases, with availability commencing in October 2022. The SRP is $250.

Kacey Lara 5.0

Pleasant and sweet with a remarkably smooth finish. The way a bourbon should be enjoyed. It's complex with its flavor notes and a fantastic example of a perfect blend of aged spirits.

Annabel Pruett 5.0

Sweet aroma, with the palate showing oak's aged character. A cherry finish. Fantastic whiskey! I initially thought the proof would be too much, but I was mistaken!

Haven Ontiveros 4.0

A fair rollercoaster of palate sophistication as one would hope from a $250 bottle.

Janiya Tyson 4.3

Sweet maple and caramel, rich and indulgent.

Anika Tinsley 3.5

When drunk straight: good.
