This is a Y.O.E.G.A. Charity Bottle. It's interesting; some characteristics deviate from a typical bourbon, leading me to suspect a finishing process, though I don't believe it was finished. Intriguing, even if it's not my personal preference. Worth sampling. It tastes younger than the stated 5+ years and drinks less intensely than the stated 59.5 proof. Curious.

This specific barrel contained 80% corn, 10% rye, and 10% malted barley. It was sampled at the distillery after a tour. Nose: Sweet with some black pepper. Palate: Pleasant spice with smooth sweetness. Finish: Remarkably smooth for the alcohol content! A light spice that persists. Would I buy it again? Considering the $80 price for a 375ml bottle, I would say no. Also, it's only available at the distillery.
Medium amber color with moderately thick legs. Vanilla and oak on the nose. The most intense vanilla on the palate I've ever experienced, with a pleasant medium finish.
Too harsh for my preference, though the setting was very pleasant and definitely worth the trip.
Mediocre. Finishes with abundant vanilla.
