Viking Blod

It's peculiar, but in a good way. The aroma isn't particularly appealing, at least to me. Given that the liquid itself isn't clear, it looks and smells a bit off-putting. However, a sip reveals an enjoyable flavor, though it might not be for everyone. There's a lot of honey and some herbal notes. I detected a very faint pungent note, possibly from the honey, but I'm not certain. It also has butterscotch and white sugar, with a touch of bittersweetness in the middle. An interesting thing happens on the finish: after you drink it, a milk chocolate taste emerges on your tongue a few seconds later, which is quite strange as I didn't get that flavor initially at all. That's the part I liked the most, to be honest. It's definitely an acquired preference.

This is an acquired taste and unpretentious. It has a strong honey flavor with hints of hops.

Pretty good for a mead... take it easy, very sweet
