Veil Peach Vodka

Rating: 9/23. Nose: Peach with a gummy candy tinge, also bitter and metallic. Enticing but not super promising. Palate: Certainly has peach, but tends toward bitter and tastes artificial. Odd mushroom umami and a mineral flavor are present. The sweet peach is liked, but otherwise it's a mess and a struggle to drink. Substantially better than the raspberry, and slightly better than Veil Citron due to sweetness, though with similar flaws, perhaps worse. Could work in a cocktail, but not straight. Nose has lots of peach gummies and some metal. It delivers on peach gummies flavor, but with more creaminess and heat than expected. Expected a lot of metal, but it's fairly drinkable, or at least could work in a cocktail. No significant additional flavor, which is fine. This is the best of the Veil flavored vodkas so far. Rating between 8 and 10, leaning towards 9 due to the off-putting metal. Some nice spicy grain from the vodka adds variation. Perhaps a 10 is appropriate, but settling on 9. Months later: Don't recall any of these Veil flavored vodkas being drinkable, but this one apparently wasn't actively painful.

There was some peach on the nose. But I expected more. Flavors fell off a lot. Peach was artificial and the overall effect was medicinal. Nope.
