Rating: 1/23. Nose: Crisp green apple, more like the fruit than candy. Apple peel bitterness is nice. Earthiness and a hint of mushroom are present but don't quite fit with the green apple, though the natural scent works. Palate: Very tart with unexpected earthiness, sulfur, and umami. Tastes awful. The palate abandons the good qualities of the nose, becoming a gag-inducing mess with earthy bitterness like green apple peel, and tartness mixed with sweetness. The overall flavor is disgusting. Worse than the raspberry veil, but close. No pleasant core. The most undrinkable liqueur I've ever had, bottom marks. It's also very drying. A dash might work in the right cocktail, otherwise avoid at all costs. The finish has green apple notes, but the experience is miserable. The nose smells more like composting green apple skins and seeds. The palate is terribly sour like the worst part of green apple, with oiliness from the seeds, lacking good qualities. Random sweetness like dissolved green apple Jolly Ranchers. Mushroom flavor complements the apple seed taste but is also gross and unfitting. The flavor is just so bad throughout. It starts weak and gets worse, though it has a full flavor with a clear green apple element. Likely a 1 or 2.
