Van Meer's Tiramisu Liqueur

10: The aroma is sweet with hints of chocolate and coffee. It smells somewhat like Swiss Miss. The palate is richer and has slightly more coffee, though. As it develops, the coffee becomes more prominent and more enjoyable. There's a strange, syrupy flavor present throughout, but there are still pleasant flavors. It's a bit too sweet with a corn syrup undertone, but it's somewhat tasty, like Halloween candy. Van Meer's chocolate is more impressive, presenting more like Tootsie rolls and Hershey's bars. This has some suggestions of mascarpone with its chocolate and coffee, but it lacks significant potency in any aspect. It's somewhat like a fake tiramisu, and what is anyone supposed to do with that flavor profile? That also incorporates notes of powdered sugar combined with erythritol, so it has some other drawbacks. This tastes interesting enough, but it's more of a novelty with flaws than a practical beverage. This tastes a bit like tiramisu; there's some sort of coffee and a rich flavor with a bit of creaminess (though not quite enough). There are some cereal notes that evoke cake and also hints of butter. It's hard to imagine the use for this drink, but it's definitely reminiscent of tiramisu. There are sweet notes that combine with hints of cocoa powder as well. That mascarpone flavor does emerge somewhat, making this an elaborate drink, but also one that is difficult to find a use for. The sweetness tastes a bit artificial, but with its depth of flavor (i.e., coffee, mascarpone, cream, cocoa, cake), it's engaging enough. I do wish that it had richness to compare with Van Meer's Chocolate, however.
