A rich, independent Tobermory, bottled by Douglas Laing! This single malt from the Isle of Mull was distilled in April 1995 and aged for 21 years in a refill hogshead, then bottled in November 2016 for the Old Particular range. 313 bottles were produced. The nose is delicate with notes of creamy lemon and lime, hints of vanilla, and coastal air. The palate is rich with notes of citrus, egg tart, cinnamon, and filo pastry. The finish is long and balanced with notes of salted chocolate, honied barley, a hint of Turkish Delight, and floral sweetness. March / June 2018 / September 2022
