King Carver 3.8

Nose: Honey, vanilla, sultanas, oak, leather. When tasted neat, it presents an intense yet straightforward aroma, best appreciated as is. Adding water does not enhance it. Palate: Syrupy sweet vanilla and honey. Sponge cake, orange zest, light malt syrup. With water, it becomes merely vanilla and honey water. The texture is rich and heavy, both neat and diluted. Finish: Medium length. Sweet honey and malt. This whisky isn't highly complex, but its lusciousness and allure make its simplicity forgivable. It offers abundant vanilla, a hive's worth of honey, and a bushel of sweet, juicy oranges. What's not to love? It's not a challenging drink, but it's quite captivating, and diluting it makes it exceptionally easy to consume. An excellent dessert beverage, suitable as an alternative to sweet sherry or liqueur. Tasted from a sample purchased at Tobermory Distillery on April 14th, 2025 “Good”: 84/100 (3.75 stars)
