Callie Matlock 3.5

Very distinct aroma: damp metal, aluminum, with hints of apple, pear, and malt. The taste is thick and sweet like honey, yet consistently has a metallic undertone. Notes of sherry and dried fruit are present. The finish is medium to short, the honey evolving into a mild bitterness. What can I say? I had higher expectations after seeing critiques on various platforms (I only check them after writing my own thoughts to avoid bias): the metallic scent and flavor aren't terrible, but beyond that, it's a very standard product lacking notable strengths. Haven Fitch 4.0

I visited this distillery while in the area. This particular brand is only distributed in Southeast Asia, making it a rarity in the United States. I favored the 15-year expression over the 18, as it showcased more of the ex-bourbon oak influence compared to the sherry cask aging. However, the 18 was more intricate, featuring definite caramel notes and a pleasant sherry presence.

Devon Condon 4.0

My favorite gift this year. It has a caramel quality and a satisfying finish. My wish came true without blowing out the candles.

Ollie Gilman 5.0

Reminiscent of a rich Christmas feast. Notes of toasted almonds and figs, with a slightly waxy feel.

Wilford Moore 4.3

The aroma is fruity and sweet; the taste is reminiscent of honey with caramel sweetness.

Dawn Cerda 4.0

Fruity and spicy, with abundant vanilla. Evokes a Christmas spirit.
