Gabriel Gerber 3.8

Review number 150. I discovered this bottle at a small, remote liquor store close to my work for approximately $60. The label indicates it was produced in 1983 and bottled in 1994 at 43% alcohol by volume. Information was scarce, so I decided to take a chance, hoping for a quality drink. Upon first smell, I detected notes of orchard fruits, sherry, a touch of oak, some honey, and a subtle hint of anise. The taste is velvety, rich, full-bodied, and smooth. The finish is quite long and very satisfying, with traces of raisin. In summary, I am thoroughly pleased with this whiskey acquisition. I might need to return and purchase the remaining three bottles.
