About this bottle

A blend of two undisclosed whiskies from "two of the most notorious single malt distilleries in Scotland," according to the bottle, this malt has been aged for 22 years. The whiskies, a lightly peated island malt and a heavily sherried Highland malt, were matured separately before being combined and bottled.

Ilene Houck 4.3

My first 22/23 year old. Smooth for a 50% Highland Park / Macallan. Sweet, smoky aroma that really coats the glass with full-bodied, thick legs. Golden-dark color from the barrels. Tastes of apricot, chocolate, and dried fruit/sherry. A little burn/medicinal note in the aftertaste, but delicious.

Skylar Moreno 5.0

Quite a rich malt; notes of toffee, caramel, light fruitcake, and dried fruits. A mild heat on the finish, with no peat. Warming, with a mild spice, medium body, and oily texture. Nutty. This is one of the finest blends I have ever experienced.

Jackie Limon 3.0

Oak leads with rich caramel and roasted nuts. A gentle warmth and a touch of spice emerge. It improves with a bit of water.
