Glenlivet 15 Year Sherry Cask Matured (Taiwan Exclusive)

In May 2019, I was fortunate to visit Linn's House, the Chivas Regal castle in Scotland. As a guest for a week, I had the opportunity to taste many amazing whiskies from Pernod Ricard, but my favorite single malt was the Glenlivet 13yo Sherry Cask Matured Taiwan exclusive. I absolutely loved it and told myself I had to add this whisky to my collection. Auctions passed, and I managed to get a few bottles of my favorite Glenlivet ever. Well... it appears they've stepped up their game. Taiwan had another exclusive, a 15yo sherry cask matured, and I had to try it. I got a bottle and shared it at a tasting event; needless to say, everyone was blown away. Bottled at 40% ABV, it has a reddish-chestnut color. On the nose, it's perfection. The most incredible and intense aroma of figs, cinnamon, dates, and sherry. It also has notes of Christmas cake, maraschino cherries, Toblerone chocolate, vanilla, and dark chocolate. After a few sips, the aroma shifted to a perfect maple syrup, leather, marshmallows, and coffee. Simply amazing. On the palate, it's exquisite. Figs, nutty, cognac, raisins. It's velvety; this whisky has a very wine-like profile, similar to a Cabernet Sauvignon. It's like apples soaked in sherry. The finish completes an outstanding whisky. It has notes of Tiramisu dessert, hay, Dr. Pepper soda, and bitter chocolate. More sips revealed smoky chocolate, molasses, and licorice. Overall, I don't have much more to say; this dram will be in my top 10 for 2021. It's one of the most wonderful drinks ever. Highly recommended; you MUST FIND IT, BUY IT, TASTE IT, AND DON'T SHARE IT. My score for this spectacular single malt is 101 out of 100. It's THAT good. Cheers!
