Bart Frantz 3.8

On the nose, intense brine, a meaty note reminiscent of young peated Benriach, lemon, grapefruit pith, vanilla, damp gauze, iodine, and burning tire. On the palate, a solid hit of vanilla, charred chili pepper, pear, citrus fruit, salty barbecued meats, soot, and ash. This is quite good, especially considering it costs under $50. It delivers a significant amount of peat and smoke, satisfying a craving for peat while also incorporating some fruit and vanilla.

Travis Jansen 3.8

Very peated, smoky... like an old barn. Notes of pumpkin spice and pepper. Not heavily structured, but enjoyable;-)
