A powerful, second run of Secret Distillery #1. Exceptionally Sherry-matured 9-year-old single malt from a well-known Speyside distillery. Batch 2 consists of 1,220 bottles. It starts with a fragrant beginning of Oloroso & malt; its robust middle brings flavors of rum-soaked raisins & a whisper of anise; finishing with a lengthy & comforting end of Jammy Dodgers, buttery malt bread & a subtle touch of cardamom. Nose: Toffee, apricot, raisins, chocolate, gingerbread, prunes, dates, cherries, fruitcake, vanilla Palate: Oak, chocolate, raisins, plums, vanilla, toffee Finish: Chocolate, fruitcake, oak, stewed fruit, creamy, floral notes I wish the Glenfarclas Family Casks had a similar price point to Glendronach single casks.
