When consumed neat, it was acceptable, offering richness, semi-sweetness, spice, abundant wood notes, and an overall intense profile. Adding a small amount of water made it more enjoyable, though still woody and intense. Notes of dark chocolate, orange peel, raisin, cinnamon and other baking spices, leather, nuts, and vanilla then became apparent.

It occupies a similar profile to Glendronach CS. While distinct, the overall quality and value are comparable.
