Talisker Unique Star

This is a typical example of a Talisker you can always count on. This particular one is the Talisker Distiller's Art Unique Star, bottled for LMDW at 48% ABV, with only 355 bottles produced. On the nose: sawdust, aged books, iodine, vanilla, wisps of smoke, rain, the smell of wet earth after rain, damp beach stones, and yeast. After the first taste, the aroma shifted to cotton, almonds, detergent, and chili. On the palate: vanilla, chili, BBQ sauce, and hand sanitizer. After a second taste, I detected vanilla ice cream, metallic notes, brie cheese, salt, and smoke. The aftertaste was amazing. Wasabi, Tabasco, salt, and a chili explosion. Overall, a Talisker never disappoints, and this one stayed true to that. Another exceptional expression; I give it a score of 93 out of 100.
