A creamy, Malt Whisky Finish Rum from Rum master Juan Alberto Alvarez for Oliver & Oliver Distillery in the Dominican Republic. This Dominican Rum is not only based on old Cuban recipes & aged for a dozen years using the "Solera style" - it's also finished in barrels that previously held Ben Nevis Single Malt Whisky from the Highlands. It starts with aromas of vanilla, plum, caramel, Malt Whisky & a hint of toffee. The delicate & rich mid-palate has notes of tropical spices, chocolate, peated malt & Luxardo cherry, leading to a medium-length finish with a bite, hints of toffee, malt & peat.
