A nutty pecan aroma leads into a taste with a pleasant, gentle warmth that fades quickly. The smell of pecans and a bit of oak comes through. After consuming some, you'll feel so comfortable you could hang out on the porch in just a t-shirt and sleep shorts, even with a twenty-mile-per-hour breeze.

About this bottle
The mash bill for this rye whiskey consists of 51% rye, 44% corn, and 5% malted barley. It is matured for a minimum of two years in new American oak barrels. Subsequently, it is infused with roasted pecans from San Saba, Texas, for a period of at least 16 weeks. The whiskey is then filtered and bottled at 80 proof.

Sweet, smooth taste with minimal heat at the back. Good neat or on ice. I appreciated the smoothness and pecan flavor. Easy to drink… I would repurchase it.
Excellent taste! Hints of toasted caramel, brown sugar, and vanilla are present. It leans a bit sweeter, but it's a good whiskey on its own.
Pecan is present but not overwhelming. I detect a good amount of caramel on the nose. Overall, it's a rather enjoyable pour.
Praline and caramel on the nose with subtle alcoholic notes. Hints of pecan and cinnamon. Mild brown sugar. Smooth.
Pecan flavor (obviously). Makes an excellent Old Fashioned!
