Nose: Dried fruits, malt, cherries, berries, raisins, and currants. Palate: Sherry! Dried fruit, funky, diesel, barnyard, orange peel, damp peat, and chocolate cherries. Finish: Extended finish. Dark fruit, chocolate, sherry, tobacco, leather, and barnyard funk. A lively and fizzy note on the finish. This is a full sherry bomb, bursting with funky, peaty dried fruit. I'm not typically a huge fan of the standard Springbank range, but this is a rich, full-bodied, and exceptional dram. It ranked first among the six samples, receiving 70% of the vote for the night's favorite. 93% of attendees indicated they enjoyed the whisky. This was a very close second for my favorite dram of the tasting.

In all honesty, the initial aroma is quite faint. However, after a period of resting, a wisp of peaty smoke emerges on the nose, gradually unfolding into a delightful and sweet, raisin-like character. The taste is equally stunning, offering a superb texture and a complex profile that spans from the main course to dessert. This is a superb serving, and I strongly suggest trying it if you get the chance

Dark fruit, oily texture, a bit of smoke, and some funk are present. The alcohol presence prevents it from being outstanding. I'm undecided if I prefer it over the Local Barley, but this one is likely not as overpriced.

The nose has funky, aged dark fruit aromas. Spices, funk, and dark fruit are present on the nose. It has a pleasant warm finish. If you can find it at its suggested retail price, it's hard to find fault with it.
