To be fair, I had two ounces of a high-quality bourbon right before tasting Southwell 12... I'm trying to find something good to say. The 'Limited Production' note on the label was a good idea! It tastes somewhat diluted at 86 proof. I'm finished. Perhaps it's best as a mixer. 12 years wasted.

I must admit... I did not anticipate it being this enjoyable. The aroma is of caramel and vanilla. It's remarkably smooth, particularly on the finish. There's a subtle oak presence, but it's predominantly sweet. The finish is easy, sweet, with very minimal burn. Definitely worth trying... if you can locate it.
Flavorful, with a slight burn at room temperature, but enjoyable with a single standard ice cube.
The nose and palate are dominated by corn. Not complex. It's okay.
Strong flavor for a low-proof bourbon!
A very cherry aroma, with a smooth swallow.
