Compared to the DS Tayman, this is much more robust, which the proof clearly contributes to. It has dark fruit, butterscotch, and blackberries. The port cask influence is noticeable but not overwhelming. The distillate doesn't provide much character, but it serves as a decent vehicle for the port.

Enjoyable, adding a few drops of water really changes things. It's quite floral. I'd sample it again if I could.
The nose is uninspiring, with butterscotch and a raw new mash character. The taste is quite different, showing dark sherry fruit, apple, and a faint sulfurous burn.
