Color: Russet gold, resembling dark amber. Aroma: Honey, spices (clove, nutmeg, caraway), citrus peel (orange, lemon), and numerous herbal scents (anise, sage, thyme). Taste & Texture: Sweet upon entry, with the honey and fruit notes from the aroma immediately noticeable, followed by mild spice flavors. The finish is pleasant; the initial sweetness gradually gives way to a very subtle citrus and herbal bitterness, creating a nice balance. The texture is light. The aroma is intricate, dominated by three elements: honey, citrus peel, and spices. The palate mirrors this, and overall, this liqueur evokes spiced mead or the spiced apple wine found at some European Christmas markets. Its light texture, rather than syrupy, combined with its relatively low alcohol content, also contributes to it feeling more like a spiced fruit or honey wine. I'm enjoying the bottle I purchased but don't anticipate buying it again. 'Good': 84/100 (3.75 stars)
