Alayna Hardy 4.0

There is not a snowball's chance in hell that we would ever see an integrity bottling of Scapa, or so I thought. Well, here we are. Orange peel, dried apricots, and a lovely floral scent reach my nose, and I get hints of sea salt, beeswax, and overripe mango. The steady arrival is sweet and sour, emphasizing citrus fruits, honey, and peppery spices. It turns increasingly dry, but not unpleasantly so. Grapefruit zest, peaches, and gentle tannins stay throughout the minty-fresh aftertaste. Subtle and complex, this malt showcases the quieter side of Orkney.
