Sampled in a glencairn. Appearance: deep amber Nose: caramel, red fruits, plum, oak, a touch of grassiness Palate: all red fruit, cherry, vanilla, baking spices Finish: long, oily, spicy, red fruits. The Cabernet finish truly stands out. A fine pour. The 12-year MGP holds up well after the Cabernet finish. The Cabernet influence is present, but it doesn't compromise its bourbon identity. It's sweet, spicy, oily, and delicious.
