Raven's Lace- Peach Berry Whiskey

Score: 6/23. This possesses a distinct orangey-pink hue, quite unusual. Clearly artificial, which I'm okay with. It smells like Jell-O or perhaps gummy candies. I enjoy both of those, but will it work in my liqueur? Time will tell. It does carry an elegant aroma, strangely good in a high school TV lounge sort of way. The palate is sweet with fruity floral notes and a significant artificial/industrial character. It's extremely sweet yet very light. It's repulsive. I struggle to pinpoint the fruit flavor. It's sweet and fruity, I suppose, but not great. In fact, it's terrible. It has a profoundly artificial and gross taste. I really wish I didn't have to drink this. I do appreciate the sweetness and the floral fruity notes (maybe peach and some strawberry?), but it strongly resembles alcohol and is painfully artificial. It's not a complete disaster, and I'd rank it higher than many flavored vodkas. There's a certain richness, but nothing I'd recognize as whiskey. The aftertaste has a metallic bitterness. Ugh! I'd rate this lower than Veil Caramel and Veil Double Espresso, but by a clear margin. While those two aren't very similar, they are the only flavored vodkas I have available.

Rating: 6/23 Indeed, fruit, artificial bitterness, and artificial sweetener. The fruit has some enjoyable juiciness, but not enough to offset the unpleasant tastes. This is genuinely very difficult to consume. I would strongly prefer not to drink it. It surpasses most flavored vodkas I've encountered, but it's far from drinkable or even something I'd want to use in a mixed drink.

Tastes like a peach ring. Not bad.
