Rare Character Single Barrel Series Selected by The Austin Shaker VTO-007

NOSE: Caramel, cherries, and a candy-like cherry flavor. PALATE: A smooth, silky texture that drinks below its stated proof. Caramel and cherry notes are prominent, followed by a sweet licorice flavor. The elements combine well, leading to a sweet finish. FINISH: Sweet honey and vanilla with a touch of spice; it lingers. BUY?: Yes, it's significantly better than two other Kentucky barrel selections previously tried, offering more complexity and nuance. Though another barrel selection is yet to be tasted, this one is exceptional. It's MGP, but aged in Kentucky using Kelvin Char 4 barrels. I will seek out more from this producer. BUY AGAIN?: Unfortunately, they sold out quickly.
