An intense, second batch of Port Charlotte peated single malt from Bruichladdich distillery, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. The label again displays the Phenol, O-Cresol, M-Cresol, P-Cresol & Guaiacol molecules that constitute the phenolic compounds in peated whisky! It begins aromatically with notes of soot, golden barley, a hint of tiger balm, citrus & sea air; while a rich middle brings notes of lemon curd, char, rich peat, gooseberry, more barley, hints of a slightly vegetal, savory twang; leading to a long finish with notes of peaty oak & sweet cereal.
