Smells like tropical fruit that has dropped and started to decompose, with a hint of aged banana. It brings to mind a trail walked from the main road, through a wooded area with fruit overhead and on the earth, leading to a little cove in Maui. Truly exotic. The increased alcohol content doesn't hit as hard as an overproof, making it easier to drink. So, with the extra alcohol comes that well-known cinnamon taste, which is quite pronounced. General "tropical fruits" and banana come to mind when describing the taste. I'm unable to distinguish the flavors further, and I regret that, but my palate and olfactory senses aren't particularly sharp...even with my large nose! It's fantastic when mixed with cola. But truthfully, the scent of this island concoction is the highlight for me. Score given for drinking it straight.
