Peshterska Grape Brandy Rakia

Aroma: pleasant grape, not showy. Appearance: lovely pale golden-brown. Taste: grape at first, then the alcohol comes through. Finish: pleasant vanilla. Playful, 40% ABV, but I feel it's more. With ice: nice grape pre-taste, less alcoholic, long mild pleasant vanilla aftertaste. Better with a cube than neat. Worth the price.

Pale straw color, with a nutty aroma and subtle vanilla hints. The palate is sweet, featuring more nuts and vanilla. The finish has a slightly spicier character. A rather distinctive spirit, perhaps not an everyday choice, but worth trying if encountered.
