Bright and sharp, sparkling. I can detect rose, which is not to my liking, but points for originality.

About this bottle
Penelope Rosé Cask Finish is produced using the company's characteristic four-grain bourbon recipe, which includes 74% corn, 16% wheat, 7% rye, and 3% malted barley. Following its initial aging period, the bourbon is then matured in carefully chosen Grenache rosé wine barrels sourced from the Southern Rhône area of France. The inaugural batch was introduced in 2020 as part of the brand's limited Cooper Series, with Batch 8 becoming available in June 2024. (Suggested Retail Price $49.99)

You get the rosé flavor without much sweetness, replaced by a weakly flavored bourbon.
An interesting whiskey to sample, but not something I would personally seek out again.
I would have preferred a more pronounced wine finish. However, the underlying whiskey is quite good.
