The second taste is drier, featuring deeper tannic oak and leather notes. It's a well-balanced, oak-heavy spirit that, with a little water, reveals floral sweetness alongside raisins, leather, and unsweetened cinnamon gum. In conclusion, it lacks the complexity and harmony one might anticipate from Peerless, but it's a solid pour for autumn sipping.
