Nose: Artificial pineapple, tangerine, or a generic tropical fruit essence. Smells like pineapple candies or a tropical body wash. Palate: Simple syrup with a chemical note that vaguely tastes of pineapple. Reminiscent of citrus-flavored cough drops. Finish: Incredibly brief. Sugar and artificial flavoring. It seems various Parrot Bay bottlings are available globally. This review pertains specifically to a pineapple-flavored "malt beverage" sold in Australia (and possibly elsewhere). This is not Parrot Bay flavored rum. It's a mix between flavored vodka and flavored moonshine. It's very sweet, low proof, and should properly be categorized as a liqueur, not a spirit. It is not enjoyable. For more details on this line of Parrot Bay liqueurs, which seem to be capitalizing on the Parrot Bay rum name, see my review of Parrot Bay Coconut. "Poor": 60/100 (1 star)
