This sake is drinkable, though far from exceptional. It's brighter than Sho Chiku Bai Junmai but similarly sweet despite its tangier character. The tropical fruit notes are nice, adding some interest compared to Sho Chiku Bai Junmai, but their overall quality is comparable because this lacks richness. Some subtle hints of refined richness are present.

This is thoroughly enjoyable. It surpasses Sho Chiku Bai with pleasant fruitiness and increased complexity. It's not outstanding, but I'll happily drink it. It's certainly not a 13, but it's definitely an 11 or 12. It possesses more richness than Gekkeikan Black And Gold, although the finish might be slightly less pleasing. The complexities are comparable.
