Old Forester's 117 Series is bringing back Extra Old in its second batch for 2025, following its initial release in February 2022. This expression involves aging Old Forester 1910 Whisky for an additional 18 months in a secondary barrel. It is bottled at 93 proof and presented in a 375ml size. Limited quantities will be available starting January 22, 2025, at the distillery and select Kentucky retailers, with shipping permitted to legal states. The cost is $64.99 for the 375ml bottle.

A hint of complex and very pleasing aromas. While a touch of banana was present, dark cherry was the primary fruit. Sweet dark sugar with subtle oak notes. A mild cherry chocolate flavor on tasting. Again, a bit of oak, but well-balanced with the fruit. The finish was acceptable but slightly thin. Sampled at Old Forester alongside 117 extra-extra oak, 2025 Birthday, and President's Choice.
