Scotland, September 2017. (Distillery tasting, from notes on a coaster) Nose: Intense, zesty, and fruity with sweet, spicy complexity. Palate: Fruity, malty, and smooth upon entry, transitioning to darker notes with subtle smoke and orange marmalade mingling with caramel, salt, dark chocolate, black coffee, and walnuts. A very interesting and multi-layered palate. Finish: Medium-long, spicy, salty, and gently smoky. Adding water brought out a lot of very hot peppery spice. This Limited Edition NAS malt is consistently available but is restricted to purchases made directly at the distillery. Out of the four expressions I sampled at Oban Distillery, this one was significantly better than the others. It possesses a more concentrated and robust character, resembling a fusion of the Oban Distillers Edition and a Bowmore. If you find yourself in the area, make time to visit Oban Distillery for one of their tastings or simply purchase a bottle of the Distillery Only bottling. It truly revealed to me the potential of this distillery. "Very Good": 85/100 (4 stars)

An extremely potent aroma. The finish is spicy, with rich fruity and creamy flavors. The high alcohol content is noticeable! It's a bit too intense for me.
The nose smells fantastic and the palate is very sweet.
A very light yet rich spirit. Tastes of honey and flowers.
A less overt whiskey that is very intricate.
Intense sweet taste
